Key Stage 2 (7 to 11 years)

At Key Stage 2, girls become confident, hardworking pupils who have both high self-esteem and a passion for learning. We aim to provide a stimulating but relaxed environment where the girls are motivated to enjoy their work. We believe they should be free to develop as individuals and we endeavour to help them discover their own talents and thus fulfil their potential.

To this end, experienced, well qualified, and committed staff teach small class sizes in an environment that is simultaneously caring and stimulating. We are flexible enough to offer additional support where required or to recognise and challenge the gifted and talented. As our girls develop and seek a richness of opportunity, we meet their growing needs with specialist teaching in subjects such as PE, Music and French.

There is an annual residential programme, as well as a wide range of clubs, activities, visits and trips offering girls the chance to prepare for their senior years.

The Curriculum

A broad curriculum is followed in Years 3 to 6 and all girls study the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, Religious Education, French, Geography, History, Art and DT, Music, PSHE and P.E. (including weekly swimming sessions).
